How to Transition Your Wardrobe into Spring

Here in San Francisco, it's been raining for the past week or so, and I am #overit. But, I can't help but think the rain and slightly warmer temps mean spring is coming soon, which makes me giddy (spring is my favorite season!).

There are certain wardrobe must-haves you absolutely need when transitioning into spring -- here are my favorites:

1. Lightweight, open sweaters.

Fall and winter are definitely the season for pullover, thick, cable knit sweaters, but in spring it's all about open sweaters that flow and that you can layer, easily taking them on and off as you need to throughout the day.

2. Fancy flats.

I love boots just as much (if not more) than the next girl, but by the end of winter I can't wait to get my feet back in flats. And since it's not yet sandal weather, flats with a sturdy sole that won't freeze your feet.

3. Light denim.

It always feels a little weird to wear light denim in the fall or winter, so by the time spring rolls around I can't wait to put my dark denim and black jeans in the back of my closet and pull out some lighter pieces, like these:
