My Favorite Sheet Masks to Pamper Yourself

My Favorite Sheet Masks to Pamper Yourself

I don't do it nearly as often as I'd like, but I love coming home at night and putting on a sheet mask to unwind. There's nothing like pouring yourself a glass of wine, getting into bed and catching up on Snapchats from the day with a hydrating sheet mask on!

I'm not a huge beauty junkie, but if there's one thing I can't help myself from buying every time I enter Sephora, it's sheet masks. I've tested out a few masks over the past year and I wanted to share my favorites—and why I like each. I used to think a sheet mask was just a sheet mask, but I've come to find the things they say they do actually matter and serve different purposes.

Best Lip Mask: SEPHORA COLLECTION Lip Mask ($3).

I've always found it fascinating how if I'm dehydrated, you can tell by the state of my lips. If I wake up in the morning with dry, cracked or chapped lips, I know I need to 1) chug a La Croix, and 2) put on a hydrating lip mask. And, at $3, you really can't go wrong with this option from Sephora. My lips look brand new every time I use this!

Best Splurge Mask: Origins Plantscription Youth-Renewing Sheet Mask ($41 for 6).

These aren't a huge investment compared to some really pricey masks, but since you have to buy the pack of 6 I'm considering it my investment mask. These masks from Origins are incredibly hydrating and smell delicious—and would make the perfect gift.

Best Inexpensive Mask: SEPHORA COLLECTION Face Mask ($6).

My favorite thing about the regular old Sephora Collection Face Masks is that they're $6 and there are so many different ones for pretty much every skin problem. At $6 you really can't go wrong—I always end up throwing a few new ones I haven't tried yet into my cart.

Best for Dehydrated Skin: Dr. Jart+ Dermask Water Jet Vital Hydra Solution ($6).

This is the mask I always pick up if I know I'm going to be traveling—it's like a massive hydration boost for your face. 20 minutes later and I feel like I have new skin that's so soft and hydrated. I highly recommend this for travel or for nights after drinking!

Best for Breakouts: Dr. Jart+ Pore Minimalist Black Charcoal Sheet Mask ($7.50).

I'm just going to say it: it's weird that this mask is jet black (it's the charcoal, but still). Every time I put one on it scares Josh so much he can't be in the same room as me. But, it's one of my favorites, and whenever I have pimples I can tell this visibly reduces them and makes me feel much cleaner. That's a win in my book!

Best to Get Rid of Redness: Dr. Jart+ Water Replenishment Cotton Sheet Mask ($7.50).

I have incredibly pale skin, and sometimes it gets red, puffy and irritated when the weather changes or if I stay up too late. Even though this Dr. Jart+ mask is really for hydration, it always seems to get rid of my red, irritated, puffy skin and seems to calm it down. I'm a fan!

Best for Sensitive Skin: Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Skin-Friendly Nanoskin Sheet Mask ($6).

I have sensitive skin, and sometimes when it's going through phases where it's sensitive to everything, I want to use a face mask that I know won't irritate my skin and will instead calm it down—that's when I reach for this one. And, my skin always feels a little tighter and firmer afterward, which I always appreciate.
