What I’m Thankful for This Thanksgiving

What I’m Thankful for This Thanksgiving

Happy Turkey Day, all!

The past few weeks have been emotional (thanks, 2016 election), stressful (juggling a full-time job and a blog gets even harder around the holidays) and exhausting. To be honest, 2016 has kind of been that way - it seems like one thing after the other this year!

But 2016 has also been filled with incredible, incredible highs. Josh and I both started new jobs, we moved into a brand new, beautiful apartment and we’re extremely lucky to have everything we do. While, yes, Thanksgiving is all about the food - and you can bet I’ll be stuffing my face with Hawaiian rolls today - it’s also about taking time to realize just how much we all have in our lives to be thankful for. The sales will come (and I'm doing a big roundup of them tomorrow!) but instead of just focusing on getting this year, let’s also focus on being thankful and giving back.

What I’m Thankful For: Shelter

San Francisco is a crazy beast - it’s expensive and crowded, but it’s home. Josh and I were fortunate enough to move into a brand new, bigger apartment just a few months ago, and I’m so happy and thankful we were able to make that change - and not only have a roof over our head, but a beautiful one at that.

What I’m Thankful For: Inspiration

This year was kind of about finding myself. I left my first job out of college that was a safe place for me, and jumped into the unknown, taking a leap of faith. I’m so glad I did, and I’m so thankful I’m able to come to work every day, find inspiration in things I’m passionate about, and also get to have this blog to pour my soul into. Not everyone has that - and I’m extremely lucky to say I do!

What I’m Thankful For: Family

My family is crazy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m so happy I live in the same city as my dad and am able to see him literally every week - he’s just a mile away from us. And, even though she lives farther away, I’m happy my mom and I make time throughout the year to see each other.

What I’m Thankful For: Josh!

Oh, Josh. Where do I start? This year has been full of ups and downs, but somehow we’re always standing strong at the end of it all. I wouldn’t want to do this life thing with anyone else, and I’m thankful for your love!
