3 Ways to Treat Yourself
One of my favorite quotes is, "Know when to give up and have a glass of champagne." When life gets tough, stressful, or overwhelming, I do one thing: treat myself to a little something extra, that I wouldn't normally, just because.
Here are three of my favorite ways to treat myself:
one // buy something fancy
This is, admittedly, my default move when I'm overwhelmed or down: I buy something I don't need, but really want. Whether it's a fancy bottle of champagne I want to drink on a Tuesday, or that expensive blouse I've had my eye on for a while, sometimes it feels nice to stop being so money conscious and just buy the damn thing.
two // add extra steps to my beauty routine
Sometimes, you just need to draw a bath, put on a face mask, give yourself an at-home mani/pedi, and chill the f*ck out.
three // get hygge with it
Cozy up, get out a big blanket, put on your stretchiest pants, and grab a pint of ice cream. There's nothing better than being so comfortable you could just sink into your couch, with no end in sight. Sometimes, you just have to get hygge with it.
