Japantown

Josh and I hung out in Japantown over the weekend, checking out some bookstores and stationery shops, eating ramen, watching sumo wrestlers and visiting some candy and snack stores. My favorite thing about San Francisco is that there is literally always something you haven't done or seen yet. A morning spent in Japantown was an entirely new experience for us, and it's so funny that it's a block off Fillmore, our favorite shopping and dining street in the city.

My favorite stationery store? Maido. If you're ever in the city, you must go!

Ramen Yamadaya is incredible. Get their kakuni ramen or chicken katsu!

Ichiban Kan is a grocery mart of sorts, and they have the best Japanese snacks and candy (Pocky, anyone?) and really great storage solutions. If you're obsessed with The Container Store, you have to browse the aisles here. Plus, it's a third of the cost!
