Long Weekend Recap: La Jolla + Yountville

I have a lot to catch you all up on, friends! The past week has been an absolute blur, between traveling to La Jolla for my big cousin’s wedding (congrats Tori + Peter!) and then coming home and road tripping to Yountville for my 26th birthday earlier this week.

I wanted to share some of my favorite snaps from the trips below, as well as some of my favorite places to eat + stay in both locations.

ONE // LA JOLLA BEACH AND TENNIS CLUB

Josh, my dad and I stayed at the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club in San Diego for the wedding. I have to admit, staying right on the ocean was a perfect way to wake up every day! You really can’t beat that view.

TWO // SCRIPPS SEASIDE FORUM

So many of you replied to my wedding Instagram Stories asking where my cousin was getting married, because it was SO stunningly beautiful. She got married at the Scripps Seaside Forum right on the beach, and it was breathtaking. Especially at sunset!

THREE // MAISON FLEURIE

My favorite place to go in wine country, hands down, is Yountville. It’s a cozy, sleepy little town with great wineries, bikes to ride, and wonderful hotels. We always stay at Maison Fleurie’s Four Sisters Inn, right in downtown Yountville. It’s the dreamiest little French inn just steps from amazing restaurants.

FOUR // BOTTEGA

If you want particularly great Italian food, go to Bottega. It is seriously delicious and Josh and I loved every bite. I eat there every single time I am in wine country! You can’t go wrong with the Spaghetti, Ricotta Gnocci, or Short Ribs.

FIVE // CLIFF LEDE

My favorite winery is Cliff Lede, which is about a mile outside of downtown Yountville. We always end up doing their tasting for $35 and then buying a bottle of our favorite to enjoy back in the room for happy hour.

SIX // THE FREMONT DINER

We always stop at The Fremont Diner, a little roadside stand, on either our way into Yountville or on our way home. It’s next to some adorable fruit stands, too, so we always pick up some produce there. If you go to Fremont Diner I recommend the bucket of biscuits and the Nashville fried chicken!
