New York Recap: My Favorite Things We Did

Late Tuesday night, Josh and I got home from a five day trip to NYC for his birthday and the 4th of July. We had SO much fun exploring the city—it was Josh's first time there—and we really packed in our five days to get the most out of our time.

I wanted to share some of my favorite parts of the trip:

1. Walking the High Line.

I've done this so many times, and it never gets old—plus, it's such a great way to acquaint yourself with the city!

2. Book of Mormon.

I'd seen Book of Mormon before in London, but I decided to get Josh front row tickets for his birthday—and I'm SO glad we went. It was even funnier the second time!

3. Pies 'N Thighs.

I have four words for you: fried chicken and waffles. Need I say more? If you're in Brooklyn, you have to go.

4. Brooklyn Brewery.

Josh and I both love beer, so we decided to visit Brooklyn Brewery on a really hot day. It was so refreshing—and five beers was only $20!

5. Central Park.

I've never gone to New York without walking through Central Park. It's the best way to spend a few hours—and my favorite part is finding a bench in the shade and people watching!

6. Ladurée.

Same goes for Ladurée—I can't go to NYC without grabbing a box of macarons and walking around the park with them. So. Good!

7. A Yankees Game.

I'm not the world's largest baseball fan, but I love grabbing a beer, a bucket of chicken fingers and a seat at a Yankees game when I'm in New York.

8. Shopping—duh!

When I'm in NYC I like to do the shopping I can't do in SF—and that means hitting up boutiques like the Glossier showroom or Outdoor Voices.

9. The Met.

More on this in tomorrow's post, but we stopped by The Met to visit the Comme des Garçons exhibit and it took my breath away!
