Travel Diary: Washington D.C.
I traveled to D.C. for work last week (I know, so many trips lately!) and I went a few days early to explore the city, as I'd never been there before. See below for my D.C. recommendations!
I stayed at the Hotel Lombardy when I first got to the city, and it was amazing. I got a room upgrade, had BloomThat flowers from my boy waiting for me when I arrived (^^) and it was a 5-minute walk to the White House.
I spent Saturday of my trip just walking the city - my first tip in visiting D.C. is bring comfortable walking shoes! We walked from the Washington monument (^^) to the White House, to the Abraham Lincoln memorial to the Thomas Jefferson memorial and saw everything in between. I'd say we spent a good three hours walking and it was beautiful!
One of my favorite parts of D.C. was Georgetown - the shopping, rooftop bars and food were amazing! There was a Sprinkles cupcakes and I got my fix - it's the best!
Being back at home was the best feeling in the world.
